How it works

Set your teams up once. On game day, it takes a few taps to tell everyone what just happened.

  1. Roster editor for the Riverside Rapids, listing players by jersey number and name.

    1Build your roster once

Add each team's players with their jersey numbers. Rink Cast keeps them for every game after.

  2. A goal being recorded, with the scorer and two assisting players selected.

    2Call it live

Tap what happened, then the team and player. The announcement is written for you — check the preview and tap Send.

  3. A team group chat showing Rink Cast announcements for game time, the starting goalie, a penalty with the power play, a power-play goal, the penalty ending, and a goalie pulled.

    3Everyone knows instantly

Pick your team's chat and it's posted. Families who couldn't make it follow along play by play.

Everything a game needs

Built for the person with a phone in one hand and a coffee in the other.

Every kind of call

Goals with assists, penalties, shots, saves, icing, offside, fights and timeouts — plus period starts and one-minute warnings.

Penalty box and power plays

See who's serving, the strength (5 on 4) and when each penalty ends. Tap Done and everyone hears who's back. Power-play goals are tagged for you.

Goalies and pulled nets

Announce who starts in goal, goalie changes, and when the net is empty. Goals into an empty net are tagged.

Built for youth hockey

Choose 1-minute penalties with no power plays, and set the length of every period — 10, 12, 15, or any length you type.

Any chat app

Announcements go through your phone's share menu, so they work with WhatsApp, Messages, or whichever app your team already uses.

Fix a mistake

Tapped the wrong player, or ended a penalty too soon? Fix it in the game log and the score and penalty box update to match.

Picks up where you left off

A phone call or a flat battery won't cost you the game. Reopen the app and resume right where you were.

Share rosters

Export your teams to a file and import them on another phone, so a co-coach or the next parent can take over.

Hold it either way

Works in portrait or landscape, however you're standing at the glass.

Final score summary: Riverside Rapids 3, Northgate Nighthawks 1, with the goals, penalties and goalie changes listed and a Send Summary button.

A full recap when the horn goes

When the game's over, Rink Cast pulls everything together into one summary and sends it in a single tap.

  • Final score and who won
  • Every goal, with scorers and assists, and power-play and hat-trick notes
  • Every penalty, with its length, by period
  • Goalie changes
